I'm looking for organizations that help low-income individuals use the internet, particularly as part of a Telecentre, School, or NGO. Please let me know if you have any contacts!

There is an association which is introducing wireless technologies in Nepal. Its website is www.nepalwireless.net This project is lead by Mr. Mahabir Pun.
There is an NGo called Open Learning Exchange. Website: http://www.olenepal.org which is developing distance learning and is also initiating OLPC - one laptop per child program.
Amit, we must think alike or have a lot of friends in common! I am meeting with Mahabir next week and my friend Rabi from MIT is the Managing Director of OLE. What a small world.
What are your latest thoughts on your Team Project? Definitely let me know if you are headed back here soon.
hey jenara, sorry if you are looking only for nepali based organizations, but i've been looking at BracNet in Bangladesh that is a WiMAX based ISP. they have an internet kiosk program to connect low-income users to the internet as well as some programs in the works to connect Brac run schools as well as use video conferencing for telemedicine purposes. Also interesting is the e-Choupal program run by ITC (india)
